Please consider supporting one of our largest fundraisers of the year to support the Kent Association of Riding Therapy, Inc. (KART). Race sponsors will have their company logo or name printed on the race tech shirt given to each runner and volunteer. It is an advertisement that will reach over 150 runners and 500 spectators on race day alone. Sponsors will also be recognized in our promotional materials.
Now in our 38th year, KART continues to provide programs for special needs children and adults. At no cost to the schools or families, KART provides therapeutic horseback riding and equine assisted activities to the following special needs communities:
- Students in 6 Kent County schools
- Adults from the Kent Center
- Campers from Camp Fairlee, an Easterseals respite camp in Kent County
- Students from the summer Horizons program
Benefits from KART’s programs can be seen through physical, cognitive, emotional, and social improvements. Last year more than 250 participants benefitted from KART’s therapeutic riding programs and horse related activities.
